Empress Midibox 2

Midibox 2 The Midibox 2 allows you to connect Empress Pedals equipped with a control port to MIDI. It converts the standard 5 pin MIDI cable to a simple guitar patch cable. Empress Midibox2 Features: -Control Empress Pedals with MIDI - Use MIDI to control any Empress pedal equipped with a control port. -Control up to 4 pedals at once - The midibox has 4 control port outputs that let you control up to 4 Empress pedals simultaneously. -MIDI out - set the internal dip switch to accept midi out messages from the control port and relay them to the other control ports and the midi thru/out connector. -LED feedback - LEDs light up, letting you know when and where MIDI messagess are being sent. The Empress Midibox 2 runs on standard 9V negative tip DC power. It draws about 10mA. Empress Midibox2 works with: At first only Chase Bliss Audio pedals could interface with the Empress Midibox. You need to flip the tip and ring for it to work. Then Alexander Pedals got into the ring with Midibox compatibility. By ring I mean, the ring between the tip and the sleeve. Actually, I don't think Alexander Pedals do anything with the ring so forget I said that. Then Distaster Area started making controllers with a Multi-jack output. This output has the capability to produce the same output as a Midibox. Then Meris started making pedals that were compatible with the Midibox. All their pedals are compatible.
