Solid Gold FX: Buffer

The Buffer is a very simple solution to a very annoying problem - dull tone. Dull tone can be caused by long cable runs, extended effects chains, cables with high resistance or capacitance, non true bypass effects, etc. True bypassed pedals are also a cause of dull tone; every extra true bypassed pedal you add to your effects chain increases both resistance and capacitance in your signal chain due to the added patch cables and connections. It is generally good practice to use a buffer in your signal chain, placed as close to the guitar as possible for maximum effectiveness. The result will be a livelier tone with great response and high end sparkle you never thought you had!

The Buffer can be powered using 9-18V pedal power supplies. Battery operation is not possible due to the compact size of the case. An LED indicator has been provided to show that the buffer is powered and active. It is recommended that you place the buffer towards the beginning of your signal chain. Certain pedals such as vintage styled fuzz pedals may respond differently to a buffer; you may have to experiment with the pedals placement based on your signal chain.
